Quiet and Still

This beautiful blue heron is a well know visitor to our marshy cove. It can be seen nesting, fishing the water's edge, stocking through the gardens and sunbathing on its favorite rock. I have been very fortunate throughout the years to view this beauty in its natural habitat; So much so that I feel he may be the hunter of a photo op and not me. I wanted to do an art piece that captured the quiet steadfast disposition of the heron and its resilient attitude. His quiet and still disposition always surprises me, because it is in those moments where you will find him; when you are quiet and still yourself.
