Collection: Rhoni Clarke

I grew up in Orillia, a small town in Northern Ontario. After high school, I made my way to Harrogate, Tennessee to attend Lincoln Memorial University on a golf scholarship. I originally planned a career in mathematics, but was happily undone by just one ceramic course and so I proceeded to graduate cum laude with a BA (art major with a math minor) in 2011.

I pursued my passion for making with clay at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario in the Craft and Design- Ceramics program; graduating May 2014.

I was lucky enough to work for many potters including Timothy Smith at Gleasonbrook Pottery in Wiarton and Scott Barnim at Scott Barnim Pottery in Dundas. I'm now happily working away in my new studio and shop space in the garage and with craft shows, galleries, home improvements and baby milestones filling up my days. I'm loving my life and I'm excited for the future.

SUMMER SHOW EVENT INFO

ABOUT THE SUMMER SHOW

Please follow all our live updates on Instagram & Facebook for all things MAC: @muskokaartsandcrafts

The Muskoka Arts & Crafts (MA&C) Summer Show is one of Ontario’s oldest and largest rural outdoor events, serving as a key highlight of the summer season for both residents and visitors alike. This three-day event brings together over 200 of Canada’s most talented artisans, showcasing a diverse array of handcrafted art, from stunning sculptures and intricate jewelry to beautiful textiles and captivating paintings. With an estimated 10,000+ visitors each year, the show is a must-see cultural event in the heart of Muskoka.

As MAC’s largest yearly fundraiser, the Summer Show has a significant economic impact on the region, benefiting local businesses, galleries, and, of course, the artists themselves. The event provides a vital platform for creators to share their work with a wider audience, promoting local talent and strengthening Muskoka’s vibrant arts community. It’s not just a shopping experience; it’s a celebration of creativity, culture, and the spirit of collaboration that defines this stunning region.

In addition to the incredible artistry, the Summer Show also features live local music, entertainment, and an array of delicious food options, creating a vibrant atmosphere where visitors can engage with the arts in a lively and social setting. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a local business owner, or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of Muskoka, the Summer Show offers something for everyone.
