My artistic expression comes from seeing and capturing that which is often overlooked in a way that demonstrates the wonder, beauty, and connectedness of everything around us.

Over the years I have come to value art as a way to slow down and connect with the world around me, to find meaning and value in places and subjects that are often overlooked, and to remind myself of my own place in this world. I often spend hours in a single location observing and photographing as the world unfolds around me, revealing new layers of life, wonder, and beauty.

What began in adolescence as a self-motivated practice of finding and creating unique and pleasing compositions has grown over the years, transitioning into a means of managing and expressing my battle with anxiety and depression, and more recently, to a means of addressing large-scale inaction by empowering myself and others through hopefulness and positive change.

I use only minimal post-processing, as I find most of my artistic expression comes from seeing and composing images in-camera.

The Muskoka Arts & Crafts (MA&C) Summer Show is one of Ontario’s oldest and largest rural outdoor events, serving as a key highlight of the summer season for both residents and visitors alike. This three-day event brings together over 200 of Canada’s most talented artisans, showcasing a diverse array of handcrafted art, from stunning sculptures and intricate jewelry to beautiful textiles and captivating paintings. With an estimated 10,000+ visitors each year, the show is a must-see cultural event in the heart of Muskoka.

As MAC’s largest yearly fundraiser, the Summer Show has a significant economic impact on the region, benefiting local businesses, galleries, and, of course, the artists themselves. The event provides a vital platform for creators to share their work with a wider audience, promoting local talent and strengthening Muskoka’s vibrant arts community. It’s not just a shopping experience; it’s a celebration of creativity, culture, and the spirit of collaboration that defines this stunning region.

LOCATION

The Annual Muskoka Arts & Crafts Summer Show takes place in the beautiful Annie Williams Park located beside the river. 50 Santa's Village Road, Bracebridge.

FUN FACTS

  • Dogs are allowed as long as they are friendly and on leash. Please note that the event can get crowded.
  • There is a water station provided, please bring a water bottle to refill.
  • It can be really hot, dress appropriately. Make sure you are staying hydrated and resting when needed.
  • We do have trained medical volunteers on site.
  • There is FREE parking available on site but it gets really busy. Walk or bike if you can.
