Jeannette Hay

Jeannette Hay was born in Montreal and pursued her education in England, where she studied Fine Arts before further honing her skills in Graphic Design at George Brown College in Toronto. Deeply inspired by the natural world, her move to Muskoka, Ontario, has only strengthened her artistic passion.

Currently based in Huntsville, Jeannette is a dedicated freelance artist, specializing in Pet Pawtrait and Wildlife Fine Art. She creates under the umbrella of her two websites: HayAnimals.com, which showcases her pet pawrtraits and wildlife art, and MuskokaArtRocks.com, where she crafts unique works on hand-picked Muskoka river rocks, granite, canvas, wood, and paper.

Working across multiple mediums—including watercolour, acrylic, and both coloured and graphite pencil—Jeannette has exhibited her work in more than thirty solo and group exhibitions across Canada, England, and the United States. Her artistic excellence has led to commissions for print publications, including Canadian Arabian News Magazine, as well as book and music CD covers. Her award-winning pieces are held in private collections in England, Europe, Canada, and the United States.

Jeannette is an active member of Muskoka Arts & Crafts Inc., the Huntsville Art Society, and Rails End Gallery & Arts Centre in Haliburton, Ontario.

The Muskoka Arts & Crafts (MA&C) Summer Show is one of Ontario’s oldest and largest rural outdoor events, serving as a key highlight of the summer season for both residents and visitors alike. This three-day event brings together over 200 of Canada’s most talented artisans, showcasing a diverse array of handcrafted art, from stunning sculptures and intricate jewelry to beautiful textiles and captivating paintings. With an estimated 10,000+ visitors each year, the show is a must-see cultural event in the heart of Muskoka.

As MAC’s largest yearly fundraiser, the Summer Show has a significant economic impact on the region, benefiting local businesses, galleries, and, of course, the artists themselves. LOCATION

The Annual Muskoka Arts & Crafts Summer Show takes place in the beautiful Annie Williams Park located beside the river. 50 Santa's Village Road, Bracebridge.

FUN FACTS

  • Dogs are allowed as long as they are friendly and on leash. Please note that the event can get crowded.
  • There is a water station provided, please bring a water bottle to refill.
  • It can be really hot, dress appropriately. Make sure you are staying hydrated and resting when needed.
  • We do have trained medical volunteers on site.
  • There is FREE parking available on site but it gets really busy. Walk or bike if you can.
