Helena Renwick

Helena lives in Huntsville, Ontario, with her husband, Cameron. They decided to move to Muskoka from Toronto and have called this place home for the past 29 years. Helena and Cameron were drawn to the beautiful landscapes, especially thrilled to be close to local, provincial parks. What they stayed for was the sense of community and connection they both found. In 2020, when many were looking to the arts for inspiration and solace from the unprecedented times, Helena began to reignite her passion for fine arts. She began posting to social media to share with friends. With immense support online and in her community, Helena took her art full time in 2021 and has never looked back. She works mostly in brightly coloured acrylics.

The Muskoka Arts & Crafts (MA&C) Summer Show is one of Ontario’s oldest and largest rural outdoor events, serving as a key highlight of the summer season for both residents and visitors alike. This three-day event brings together over 200 of Canada’s most talented artisans, showcasing a diverse array of handcrafted art, from stunning sculptures and intricate jewelry to beautiful textiles and captivating paintings. With an estimated 10,000+ visitors each year, the show is a must-see cultural event in the heart of Muskoka.

As MAC’s largest yearly fundraiser, the Summer Show has a significant economic impact on the region, benefiting local businesses, galleries, and, of course, the artists themselves. The event provides a vital platform for creators to share their work with a wider audience, promoting local talent and strengthening Muskoka’s vibrant arts community. LOCATION

The Annual Muskoka Arts & Crafts Summer Show takes place in the beautiful Annie Williams Park located beside the river. 50 Santa's Village Road, Bracebridge.

FUN FACTS

  • Dogs are allowed as long as they are friendly and on leash. Please note that the event can get crowded.
  • There is a water station provided, please bring a water bottle to refill.
  • It can be really hot, dress appropriately. Make sure you are staying hydrated and resting when needed.
  • We do have trained medical volunteers on site.
  • There is FREE parking available on site but it gets really busy. Walk or bike if you can.
