This watercolour piece, "Breaking Through" comes from an experimental session in alla prima techniques. The image itself is inspired by cool cottage mornings. Just as the sun is touching the tops of the trees, the loon calls, the fish splashes, the mist on the water still lingers and the dew on the trees scatters the light as it is "Breaking Through".
