Collection: Sasha Rae Pringle
The energy behind every rose-light-arts creation is a love of connection and interconnection, a love of clarity and of wholeness. Nature and dreams and a joy for life inspire and inform every piece of art, every workshop.
Through her decades-long exploration, study and practice of meditation, dreamwork and the ancient art of Feng Shui, Sasha learns deeper and deeper many things. In particular, she has become keenly aware of the frequency of art and its importance in our lives.
For example, if we display art in our homes and places of business that evokes conflict or despair or confusion or heaviness of any kind, that is the energy that will brought into that space. By the same principal, if the energies behind and within the artworks are: joy, lightness, harmony and peace, that's the energy that will emanate from the artwork for the people in that space.
Sasha holds an Honours BA from the University of Toronto in Social Cultural Anthology and she has always been in awe of the myriad expressions of art and artful ceremony throughout times and cultures of the world.
She has enjoyed courses through the Canadian Book Binders and Book Artists' Guild as well as Fleming College's Haliburton School of Art and Design. Most recently, during an intensive course at HSAD, she was delighted to expand her on her practice and techniques of the ancient art of encaustic painting with the astute teaching of accomplished artist. Susan Fisher.
Sasha has shown her art at venues including MAC's Chapel Gallery and Arts of the Albion Gallery in Gravenhurst. Her art is in collections in Canada, the U.S. and Ireland.
Sasha lives and creates art in her home studio in Gravenhurst, near Silver Lake. She is thankful to share life there with her husband and husky-dog. Her two daughters - now grown and living elsewhere - continue to be her ultimate inspiration and joy.
