Collection: Catherine Winter
Hi! I am a Toronto based flamework artist and jewelry designer. Drawing inspiration from my love of the ocean, travel and time on a small white sailboat in a blue world, I spin my stories into wearable glass art using the ancient art of lampwork.
Lampwork uses a gas/oxygen torch to melt rods of glass that are spun around a thin steel mandrel, shaped and decorated with more liquid glass. There is no paint on my beads, just layers upon layers of glass. Many of my beads have pure silver encased in them.
At the heart of my work is a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and originality. I infuse each design with a sense of adventure and fun resulting in a collection that tells a story of exploration, passion, and the joy of discovery.

ABOUT THE SUMMER SHOW
Please follow all our live updates on Instagram & Facebook for all things MAC: @muskokaartsandcrafts
The Muskoka Arts & Crafts (MA&C) Summer Show is one of Ontario’s oldest and largest rural outdoor events, serving as a key highlight of the summer season for both residents and visitors alike. This three-day event brings together over 200 of Canada’s most talented artisans, showcasing a diverse array of handcrafted art, from stunning sculptures and intricate jewelry to beautiful textiles and captivating paintings. With an estimated 10,000+ visitors each year, the show is a must-see cultural event in the heart of Muskoka.
As MAC’s largest yearly fundraiser, the Summer Show has a significant economic impact on the region, benefiting local businesses, galleries, and, of course, the artists themselves. The event provides a vital platform for creators to share their work with a wider audience, promoting local talent and strengthening Muskoka’s vibrant arts community. It’s not just a shopping experience; it’s a celebration of creativity, culture, and the spirit of collaboration that defines this stunning region.
In addition to the incredible artistry, the Summer Show also features live local music, entertainment, and an array of delicious food options, creating a vibrant atmosphere where visitors can engage with the arts in a lively and social setting. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a local business owner, or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of Muskoka, the Summer Show offers something for everyone.
